Doing an event that required riding a lap around Iceland in four days looked interesting. The 1357km could be ridden as a relay team or solo.

Then I read the rules and wasn't quite so interested. They could be described as the opposite of the Trancontinental rules.

Which bit do you particularly object to? The banning of aero bars or the insistence on an mtb or cyclocross bike for the gravel section?

That solo riders need at least 3 people in a car behind them and can't sleep in a hotel. Considering the minimum speed is not hugely faster than Audax pace, it seems unnecessarily restrictive.
