OK, the Official January WARTY Ride is to celebrate Annie's birthday, which is on Friday. We are going out Saturday 10th Jan
here.
Meet at Marks Tey for 9.30 (conveniently, there's a train leaving Lpoo St at 8.38 which arrives at 9.29. I intend to get on it at 9.02 in Shenfield so don't hog all the places!). Elevenses will be in Halstead (about 13 miles in) and lunch will be at the Red Lion, Church Hill, Finchingfield (those who came Up the Uts in August will remember that it rains there).
Shortly before the end of the ride there is a pub, the
Shoulder of Mutton, in Fordstreet. It is not impossible that we will have a wee drinkie in here before saying our tearful farewells.
We hope to return to Marks Tey before sunset, but obviously cannot guarantee this. The ride is about 50 miles.
NSTN rating: good. All roads are marked at least yellow on the OS map, but there may be skog.
Of course, there is no guarantee that there will not be "shitloads*" of snow.
Please indicate below in the usual way if you plan to be part of this hilarious fiasco.
*A shitload is an unspecified large quantity as defined by my daughter.
