Yep, email 10 mins ago. 12.30 as requested.
What brilliant organisation, thanks to all involved.
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

13:15 with no second thoughts. It looked like there had been some last minute changes of mind over the previous few days.
When I selected the time slot, I was a bit lonely but the numbers had crept up to around 40 by yesterday evening.

11.00, as requested. Plenty of time for a massive breakfast and a gentle ride over to Loughton.

Very happy and, of course, chapeau to the organising team.
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?

13:00 as chosen , so happy with that.   Not so sure about my rider number though. Is 13 really unlucky?  :hand: ;D

75% of riders got the time they asked for.  Of the remaining 25%, half either didn't select a time or got moved to the 5am group.

If you didn't get the time you asked for though, you were probably bumped by 3 hours or more. Sorry about that.

Thanks Alwyn!  A mighty quick turnaround on those rider numbers following Phil's lockage of the start-time selector last night

I'm X-rated, if anyone's interested  ::-)  (but I did get the time I asked for :))
Lockdown lethargy. RRTY: wot's that? Can't remember if I'm on #8 or #9 ...

Does that mean you don't get to use the controls but have to get food and receipts at petrol stations all the way there and back instead?  ;)

Same for me, 11.00am slot - and thanks again to the organising team, it really has been a professional set-up to date and one you could probably package up and sell to future event organisers!

We do like to build our processes for speed as well as simplicity our end (Well simplicity once built  ;D).  The start times and rider numbers are also loaded in the website.  No need to rush in they are just the same as the email.  The website will use the details for online tracking, calculating time in hand etc.

Does that chart show the final status of requests, Phil?

Do you have another one that shows allocations?

Allocations will be as the red line ..we are trying to spread the load on the controls .. only oddity that i am aware of is that the 0500 start which was by invitation only for the really fast guys .. has about 70 riders in it.

Yes it is showing the final state of requests when we locked it. I was going to update the rider area chart but then I'd have to get all the translations done and frankly that's a lot of work just to essentially show a new version of the red line.

But Fidgetbuzz is right it's broadly as per the red line.  Couple of kinks to account for some team sizes in later starts but only a few riders either side of what we planned. There are 65 in the 5:00am group. Here's a bare bones spreadsheet version.
