Single Speed Disc Brake Hub with Sealed Bearings
« on: 01 December, 2023, 12:35:32 pm »
I'm in the market for a new rear wheel for my Genesis Flyer.

It's got disc brakes and I specifically want sealed bearings.

So hub spec I want is:

Solid axle
OLD 135mm
32 hole
6 bolt disc rotor mount
screw on SS freewheel fitting
Sealed bearings

My searches so far have drawn a blank, I'm wondering if such a hub exists?

An alternative might be a fixie flip flop wheel, with a disc rotor adaptor on the flip side. But again I might struggle to find one that's 135mm OLD and sealed bearings.

Any suggestions?

I might have one already built into a wheel that I’d be prepared to sell

The Surly hub looks like it has cup and cone bearings, as opposed to sealed (cartridge bearings)

Or am I reading the specification wrongly?

Cartridge bearings

Yes spotted that now, 6091 bearings

It was the mention of "Cone Nuts" earlier in the product description that threw me.

Thanks everyone, looks like I've found what I was looking for.
