Testing hard drives
« on: 06 July, 2020, 08:56:57 pm »
I've been going through my old cupboards and finding loads of old 1, 2 and 3TB drives. Most are from old NAS upgrades. What's the best free or cheap software to test drives before selling?

Would doing a surface test for bad sector be a bad thing?  Or would a secure wipe deal with all that?
