WINMM.dll APPCRASH
« on: 29 March, 2013, 05:59:37 pm »
I've been running Tacx Trainer Software on an old laptop - it's an Intel T2060 CPU with 2GB of RAM running Vista Home Premium. The Tacx software has always been fairly unreliable, but I got it stable for a while by stripping everything else off of the laptop. No internet connection, no anti-virus, no other applications.

It's started crashing again - either the programme fails to start or it starts, runs for about 15 minutes and stops working. The wee Windows box appears to tell me that it's stopped working, just in case I didn't notice this myself!

This happened a week ago so I updated the Tacx Software to the latest 3.8 version, ran all the updates for Windows and even updated the Intel graphics driver. Got on the turbo today and 15 minutes into my ride - it stopped again.

If I look at the Problem Report it says the problem event name is APPCRASH and the Fault Module Name is WINMM.dll, version number 6.0.6002.18528

Anyone any ideas on how I can fix this?
