PBP partner wanders into his saw-you-coming pharmacy and comes out with essential oils and homoeopathic crèmes de bum. He's always insisting this crap is better than evidence-based medicine. Keeping one's kewl in the face of pure & applied damned higgorance is hard betimes.

So, Radio 3, the plural of concerto is concertos?  That's the sort of dumbing-down one expects from Classic FM, not the Beeb.  ::-)

In English, I'd say yes - I've never heard anyone refer to (e.g.) the Brandenburg Concerti...

I shall eat beans.

Meanwhile, the varming vamily across the vay are out in numbers (mama + 6 varmints) to vettle their veggie vittle patch; they have a radio churning out disco jive or some such vile vacarme so loudly that mama can scarcely hear herself shriek at varmint the least to kindly regurgitate the hoe.  I can't say that this is interrupting my work: it's so bloody annoying I can't think where to start.

Think I'll have a coffee.

Oh yasus gott. Someone's dung trailer just went past my open window.  I'm outta here.

There's a charitable organisation that gives out free 'medicine' to people who want to cure the poor dear fox in their garden of sarcoptic mange.

It's homoeopathic.

I worked out that it's so dilute that most bottles of it will contain none of the supposed active ingredient at all. It's supposed to be given to the fox by putting a few drops on food, once a day. At that rate, the fox will, on average, die of old age before ingesting any of the 'active' ingredient. It's getting food with a few drops of distilled water added.

The first vet we used here was a raving homoeopath. As a result our first Leonberg's ear infection progressed to the point where she became epileptic.

He also claimed to have hypnotized a neighbour's cat via the telephone.

My hair is wet.  That meant it was raining when I came home.

It has just occurred to me that the last time I rode in the rain was on PBP in 2007, which says more about the amount of riding I've done than any luck I've had with the weather.

Perhaps I should register with the website & start telling people that. Some of the idiots who get the stuff have expressed worries about a more diluted & thus 'more potent' version, & whether it's too strong for the foxes.

I went there thinking it might be real, & then saw the H word.

Full on 'lovey' mode?

Turn it in to a Quentin Tarantino inspired production?

Nobody ever made me perform such rank absurdities but I think Tarantino appropriate.  Especially the speech about the AK47 from Jackie Brown.
