As part of a way to get some variation into my running I want to try and cover all of the trails/tracks/roads on some of the local bits of greenery (Putney Heath, Wimbledon Common, etc).
Is there a website where I can upload successive tracklogs and see where I'm missing things or how much %-age I've covered?
At the moment I'm just using this third party Strava plugin/app:
http://www.jonathanokeeffe.com/strava/map.php to create a heatmap of my runs and then visually see which bits I have yet to cover.
What I'd hoped I'd be able to do is to find a site where I could upload one or more tracks which contain all of the paths and then separately upload the tracks from my runs and for it to show me where I haven't run yet.
I can do some of it myself, sort of:-
I've got a track that covers all of the paths (that Google Maps knows about anyway) like this:
http://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?lnk=http://www.greenbank.org/misc/putney_heath.gpxAnd from that I can extract a set of trackpoints that I need to get to within a few meters of.
I then extract each trackpoint from a run and tick off every point that I've gone close enough to (whatever tolerance I allow).
I can also have a script to work out the percentage of points I've covered, so I can check progress.
I'm no good at the front-end stuff though, so I don't know of an easy way to visualise the points I've yet to get close to. Ideally there'd be a map showing all of the points I still need to cover.
Just wondered if someone has already done this kind of thing and knows of a useful site.
