Looks like I'm almost worn through the rear brake pads on my Brompton, they take the insert type pad things. What is the current recommendation for pads? The Brompton is my city bike, used in all weathers. ThanksJ
I'd say Koolstop Salmons - assuming you have alloy rims and not silly C/F ones.
Kim, you are very bad!
Have ordered new kool stop salmon pads. I notice that the front brakes do not have the fancy new interchangeable pad design. I actually find myself wondering if those are the original pads, from 2007. The rears i seem to eat a lot faster...J
If you need a couple of shoes to take the front pads, make it known. I'm pretty sure I have some (Dura-Ace-type) shoes knocking about.

Looking mostly like these:Ignore the green arrow.Your friend's QMCL address?Or do you want to PM me an alternative one?
I have some new pads/holders to install on the front courtesy of Jurek. But I think I'll do that on Monday, when I've confirmed the koolstops on the back work. I like to only break one brake at a time...
