Title: YAP&W pootle, 0 miles ... 12th of June
Post by: woollypigs on 22 March, 2010, 11:06:59 pm
Well it is easier to put it here than sending out an email, text etc.

Yet again a pootle from the makers of Peli and woolly winter pootle and Woolly and Peli pootle mark #3 and lets not forget The Pendle Witches' Ride among many.

Tuesday the 15th of June will be my 40th birthday, hurray for me. So since it is a Tuesday and most people are at work, I'm planning to have a wee party on the 12th of June. There will be no riding for me but you are more than welcome to ride over and say hi.

I'm planning to sit in my back garden, ok the communal garden, having a few cold ones. And if you fancy dropping by to talk a bit of bollox or about your next n+1 while enjoying a cold drink with me, I would be very happy.

Plan is there will be a bouncy castle *), some single use bbq (and a cooker in the kitchen) some other snacks here and there, but it is pretty much bring your own. As I can't be arsed to do anything since it is my birthday party.

*) there will be a bouncer (Julian are you free that day ?) and you have to be over 25 to use it.

Location : my place (pm for addy)
Time : doors open when you get here or when we are up :)
Close : when you can't be arsed anymore, but hopefully in a state that is safe for you to commute home.
Food : BYO
Drink : BYO

We can't put anyone up for the night unfortunately as all sleeping spaces are all ready taken up but people from far far away bits, but I'm sure that a tent or two shouldn't be a problem in the garden for a night if you are game for that.

Hope to see you then for a bit of a natter and a laugh.

Sounds like a spiffing idea. Gratefully accepted on the proviso that we might be waylaid by the arrival of our granddaughter.

Sounds just as well.  The last time I went on a Bouncy Castle I gave myself whiplash, could hardly move for several days, couldn't cycle for several weeks, and when I did almost threw up half way along my 5 mile commute from the pain. :-\

I should be kept away from such things, and bollards. ;D

Argh I was meant to call you last week, I did find a bouncy castle but it was too big :( It was more of a bouncy village lol

It was this: Aladdin’s Adventure Bouncy Castle on eBay (end time  04-Apr-10 16:02:44 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aladdin-s-Adventure-Bouncy-Castle_W0QQitemZ270553146666QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Toys_Games_Outdoor_Toys_ET?hash=item3efe39652a#ht_500wt_1154)

But any who I will still be there and if you come them it is going to be a good day :)

Hmm might have a bouncy castle, the company didn't sound all that keen but lets see if they arrive. I have asked them to turn up between 12-13:00 and come a take it again after 18:00, that should give us enough hopping time.

So hope too see you when you can get here, there is a cooker here and there will be some one time use bbqs too and some odd snacks so therefore bring your own of what ever fancy your tickle.

That was indeed a fine afternoon, bounciness, friendly people, a slightly mad dog, and with the added bonus that there was little traffic on the way back to the southernmost parts of London.

Amongst the odd thing that got left behind, was some squeezy ketchup and mustard, neither of which I think are going to be missed, so please use them up if there's any left.  If my teaspoon ever surfaces I'd like it, but that's no bigeee!

Congratulations on almost being 40 Woolly, you youngster. ;D

I've got some photos busily uploading.  When they're completely up, I'll post the link.

Thank you for a very, very lovely party :)  I successfully found my friend (dressed as a clown, with two large suitcases full of face paints, balloons feather, bubble machines and many many other odd things - she's always been a bit odd!) at Victoria have now safely arrived in Tooting (via a party in, I believe, Stoke Newington).  A truly silly day, and extremely enjoyable.  And now I've got a nice cup of tea.

Hope you enjoyed your party Woolly, and that you have a good birthday too.

Thanks all for coming it was very nice of you all to be bothered to come around to have a little jump, I think adamski had the best hang time.

The family was a bit chocked, not by your behaviour, more that I knew such a good bunch of friends from such a broad back ground.

Pictures to follow after I have taken the family around some tourist traps.

Brilliant photos, Charlotte, TimO and Woolly. Is it ok if I stealz the odd one or two? I think some of the bouncy ones would make a really rather good profile pic...

Absolutely!  They're CC-licensed and you can download the full files from Picassa  :)

I think Charlotte's and Woolly's are better than mine, especially the bouncy ones, where all the images inside the castle are very dark with my pics.  So long as you're not using them for anything commercial, feel free to use any of mine.

Well, that was exhausting (being the hostess and making sure everyone was fed and beered), and brilliant (bouncing in particular)! Thank you all for coming and making it a day to remember. Plus, we actually had a proper conversation with our next-door neighbour for the first time.

Thanks for a lovely time on Saturday guys. It was wonderful to catch up with lots of people again, all with huge smiles across their face. Surely the sign of a successful party.

Thanks guys - definitely nothing commercial, probably just Facebook and credit will be given. They are such fun pics.

When Rob saw the one of me wide-eyed with the halloumi burger he said 'And you accuse me of making stupid faces!'
