Can I fit a suspension fork?

My bike is a Genesis Vagabond, in size small. Is it possible to fit a suspension fork to this frame?

Technically yes, but you would end up with the front end a lot higher, which would have an impact on the steering. A short travel fork has 80mm of movement so effectively 80mm longer than a rigid fork.

You do get special front suspension systems for gravel these days. My friend's boutique shop in London makes up some with Lauf forks, which are specced for damping gravel surfaces. I expect they'd work well on pavé too. According to the shop's top brain it isn't just stupid bike industry junk, it is a good product.

It isn't cheap though...
