Tent repair questions
« on: 06 July, 2008, 09:23:35 am »
Having just returned form Denmark my trusty Nallo 3GT has clocked over 50 nights use.  In that time to date all that I have needed to do is repair one small tear in the groundsheet.

However, two things now potentially need looking at and sorting:

1:  I noticed for the first time some small patches of what I think must be mildew on the fly.   the tent has been packed wet on a numebr of occasions and dried out later but mildew is rampant.   Will I need to try and treat this does anybody know please?   It is unsightly but not causing any problems as far as I can tell.

2:   One of the zips for the entrance door has skipped along about a dozen teeth.   Any suggestions on an easy way to fix this would be welcome please.

Help greatly appreciated.

I have read that tea tree oil is an effective treatment for mold and mildew. Zips however are a different matter.

Thanks for that Adrian.

I also managed to find some useful advice on the Plas y Brenin website on treating for mildew but nothing useful yet about the zip  :(
