In order to talk to the 3D printer I have installed Octoprint which is a "snappy web interface for your 3D printer" designed for use on a RaspberryPi(?). To install it onto Windows it is necessary to install Python, Git and OctoPrint.
Also it is necessary to Download & Install Build tools for Visual studio 3.0k. To compile Python extensions, this is required and it is needed to install some dependencies of OctoPrint.
Install “C++ build tools” and ensure the latest versions of “MSVCv142 - VS 2019 C++ x64/x86 build tools” and “Windows 10 SDK” are checked in the configuration. [see link]
I've done all this and it works!!!
Now I would like to uninstall Build tools purely because it is a large install (6G or so) and I am running out of HDD space. Having done its thing is it still being used or can I get rid of it?
Thanks
