Bring back Jan - the petition

If we're going to have Lance, can we at least have Jan too?

We don't need Jan just because we have Lance.

I forget where I saw it now, but one of my favourite quotes on his retirement was: "I fear for the pies of Southern Germany".

I know where you're coming from but I still can't help but admire the man's class. He was to cycle racing what David Gower was to cricket - incredible natural talent but no self-discipline. I suspect it's the lack of self-discipline that lead him down the path of shame. He could have been so much better than that.

Nice analogy, but when did David Gower ever use anything performance enhancing?

Possibly the most overrated rider ever.  Bit like David Millar. Natural class, my arse.... results don't lie.

Discuss.

True, but then cricket isn't a real sport, just some guys wearing sweaters and silly hats standing in a field!

I'll get my coat, then...

More like George Best I'd have said.

Yes, I loved the Lance/Jan battles in the mountains, but do we really need another former doper in the ranks?
