Directed by the late, great Phil Chilvers.  A man sorely missed in the TV world.

Where do we want 'em? Stoneybridge!

And then there was Bert Bastard - don't have YouTube access at work, but there are one or two clips of him on there.

Yesterday, 6:30pm on Radio 4, Absolutely was back

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b037v4g6/Sketchorama_Absolutely_Special/

Calum Gilhooley, Frank Hovis (not sure if he was On the Lavatory or not), Stoneybridge, Denzil and Gwynedd, the Little Girl, all featured.  Worth a listen.

I was half asleep, and thought I'd dreamed it, because Sketch-o-Rama normally features a number of new acts, and I expected them to have some of the Fringe acts, until Andy Gates tweeted about it.
Getting there...

Btw, it was interesting to hear why London, rather than Stoneybridge, had hosted the Olympics.

Frank Hovis, indeed, on the toilet.

I caught that yesterday, always listen to Tuesday comedy on R4 if I'm in the car at the right time. However, I must say I was somewhat underwhelmed by this offering.

One of my favourite moments was from the episode where they were planning the annual Stoneybridge Jamboree, and trying to find a celeb to open it. They discuss writing to various people, including Tom Cruise, and then one of them points out that Tom Cruise is quite short, and people at the back won't be able to see him.

"Well, we could build him a wee podum..."
"Aye... or we cud all stand inna ditch!"

I can't see a podium, without thinking of those two lines. ;D
