Given that there's no Blue Badge, yeah.

Besides, that wasn't any part of his defence.

You obviously know more about the circumstances of the case than I do, so I'll say no more.

Maybe Gideon should have a blue badge? He was born without compassion.

OK, its not strictly parking and it might even be described as fine judgement, but....

Couldn't he have got a bit closer to the pump?

He wanted to be as far away as possible if the tanker went up.
It is simpler than it looks.

I bring you today's fud, reg BT62 HYU, on CS3 along Cable Street, London.  Note the sign he is parked next to.

Is that a low kerb between the "superhighway" and the yellow lines or is it just a white line? And if it is a kerb, just how low is it? In either case, are they all like that? I'm not sure I've ever seen one of these FinancialWizards Cycle Super Borisway things in real life, and I can't quite tell from the photo.

Most of them are just blue paint, but that bit looks like a contraflow segregated by a kerb.

It's a 'standard' height kerb between the yellow lines and the blue paint.  There are a few places along that stretch where the road is level with the pavement (I'm standing at such a spot).  The driver may have come from the road on my right (look into the distance, there's a road where the block of flats ends) and turned left onto CS3.  The car is parked just to the left of the marker, just west of Sage St.

Thanks. I was actually asking out of interest how it is to ride on this super express wonderway, rather than as to how the car got there (but both are good to know). So far, I feel equally untempted to do either.  :-\

P.S. Is that Cable Street as in "the battle of"?

Yes, it's *that* Cable Street.

That bit of CS3 isn't too bad.  Except for when people walk/park on it and/or it's dug up by the utilities companies.

Surely not our first bicycle in PWPLF?

We have a perfectly good, spacious, covered and well-equipped bike yard at The Office. Proper racks, not visible from the streets, etc. So why lock your bike up in the electric car space in the car park?

Maybe he has Di2 or EPS? That counts as an electrically-assisted bike in my book.

If it was, it was well stealthed - looked to me like a standard alu halfords Carrera with an unidentifiable Shimano group set and a slightly lazy owner.

Oh dear. I think this must have been a case of forgetting to apply the handbrake on the part of the driver of WK06XJA. The street is a slight slope, it must have given the car just enough momentum to mount the kerb and wedge itself in between the red Ford's rear bumper and the garden wall. Both cars belong to residents of the street where I saw this - I hope they sorted it out amicably!

The parking had be fine... both of the drivers of these cars were legally parked in appropriate bays.  Unfortunately, when they pulled away they thought the path was the exit road.  They patiently followed the pedestrians down the path until they were out of sight.  A simple mistake easily made.

Two from Sainsbury's this morning.

First up, a very typical example of the Wilmslow Panzer fud.

And more divertingly, a rare example of fud trolley parking.  Someone has managed to chain these together in such a fudworthy manner that it's not possible to attach another one, meaning that a trolley park with a capacity of about 80 trolleys now holds...four.

I think the film "Idiocracy" is actually a documentary.

To be fair, it appears that there's a rigid barrier to the left which would prevent the passenger door from being opened if the car were neatly parked between the white lines.

I'm amazed nobody has linked to this yet.

Ultimately the car did get properly parked, but it took some time!
What's this bottom line for anyway?

Three stands unusable.

Also, is there a thread for people who position bins like fuds?
