... but any snow around the eastern side of the country looks to be unlikely. I may use the Vince the snow bike anyway, because the Kaffenback is buggered, and I haven't managed to get n+1 together yet. So long as it isn't wet, the lack of mudguards won't be an issue, although the additional weight could be! In the unlikely event that it's particularly badly icy, the studded tyres will ensure I'm OK!

It better not snow here tomorrow. I have loads to do at work and I can't be arsed to ride all that way on the studded MTB.

It looks like the Eryri Spring now! However, there is snow on Cefn Du (the hill behind Llanberis) so the real mountains should look good.

Same here, as I was walking back from dropping TLD off at the Breakfast club, I thought "What is this white stuff on my coat?" "Oh it's sno"

There were a few flakes falling a few minutes ago when I was riding from Rayleigh to Southend. Gritting lorries were out.

Out for a trikle yesterday (Mon 30th Jan) 2c easterly wind, Barbara went numb down one side of face (thought "Christ, she's having a stroke") called in at doctors to be told "you have literally frozen your face Barbara"
Never had that (pedal powered) before. Gritters were out but hopefully will miss white stuff here in sunny North Oxfordshire.

Bloody 'orrible out there today. Dark, cold (1.2°C), clammy and with that pointless frozen drizzle falling gently, it's the first proper winter's day we've had since Boxing Day 2010 I reckon.

I got snowed on very very lightly a while back, walking from Gloucester Road Station to work. It was barely wetting the pavement, and certainly didn't settle!

The little flecks of white on my fleece had melted by the time I got upstairs to my office.

can't beat road runner on temp, we've only managed a poor minus 6 so far this year, we've had snow since Sunday but it's only a couple of inches. Every where is just wet and cold, hovering around freezing most of the day, fields have really turned to mush where the livestock are
and it's quite painful opening field gates when your hand sticks to them, but I'm itching to get out on the bike
