How long before the PCSOs get a faceful of snow?

I'm in Belfast, where it is slightly warmer. Lots of rain earlier. I see that Aer Lingus have already cancelled half their flights in and out of Heathrow tomorrow ffs. ::)

It has started snowing here. The main road is wet but it's settling on the side road. Apparently the temperature has crept up to +0.3°C but I don't think that will be enough to stop it settling. It's been very cold for quite a few days now.

It turned to rain here at about 6 and the temperature has gone up by several degrees, well above freezing for the first time for days.

There's still a cm or so of snowy slush on our lane but it'll be gone by tomorrow I'd think.

We don't normally get any snow which comes from the west: at least, it might come through as a front but quickly turns to rain. I notice that the 0.3° C above freezing at 930 has returned to -0.2°C at 10p.m.

Steadily snowing in Watford; probably an inch or so of it at the moment. Still feels chilly out there.

I'm worried about my commute on Monday.

The site might be closed- guess I could do it anyway.

No snow in Liverpool but all the drizzle has frozen and some of the roads & pavements are a bit lethal.  My balcony door is covered in icicles.

Between 0 & 300 mm here in the fens - the wind is blowing it all over the place and it's piled up in drifts.

So much snow in harrow that my sky tv has given up again only 1 1/2 hours after I last swept the dish.
Cant be bothered to sweep it again.
The kids will have to go out and play in the morning.

It's been settling quite well in Croydon, there's probably three or four inches now.  I just had a quick bimble out, and it was quite fun, although even now with fresh snow, it's more fun on the entirely fresh stuff than on the freshish stuff, where cars have already had a chance to put ruts in it. :-\

The trains going past the back of the house (the east-west line between places like West Croydon station and Sutton) are arcing horribly, throwing up big flashes of light.
Actually, it is rocket science.

About an inch and a half, maybe 2 at the most on the bucks/berks borders.

And complete idiots who wouldn't know how to pilot a car in this weather, wearing completely unsuitable clothing or driving rear-wheel drive cars stuck as soon as there's the slightest hill.  It took me nearly an hour to get up the little hill on the A40 in Denham because of stuck cars-yet I was about the only one getting out to help those who were stuck in front of me!   ::-)
