We had freezing rain last night, and it had frozen all over the road outside our house.

I sat in the office this morning watching the antics outside the school, with a mix of amusement and horror.

Cold rain last night turned into snow sometime earlier this morning. Now it is all melting.

well here in the sunny Brecon Beacons it's trying it's hardest to snow but nothing yet

roads are a bit dodgy though, accident on the 470 this morning and for the last few days the 4067? Brecon to Swansea road has been closed
due to the fact it's disappeared near the Ancient Briton , drains frozen and then collapsed apparently

Nothing to speak of cycling from Croydon to South Ken this morning. The little snow that had settled on the cycle paths and footways last night, has all gone now, and it's too warm for ice. The Commons, which had almost lost all of their snow yesterday, except for the last few mostly melted remains of snowmen, are now freshly white on the grass again, although a bit threadbare compared to a proper dump.

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Maidstone. There's still some snow on the roofs though.

No snow here still, but there was a nice covering on the fields and railway line around Millom this morning.

I'm getting bored of the snow studs now (they are so draggy) and it's warming up and dry outside. We still get icy patches on the back roads in the mornings though.

As I will be venturing out by bike, so not by car or on foot, I should be OK then.

Snow everywhere in Sarf Landan. Except on the roads. I had to go to some effort to hunt out some ice to ride on. A few flurries today, but the Winter tyres were complete Overkill.

Well, that was a cold one. -6.5°C in my garden around 8 a.m. Looking around East Anglia, the Met Office recorded -9.1°C in Shoebury, 5 miles away, but -13.8°C in Marham, Norfolk.

Guess whose central heating has packed up.

I've just heard it was -17 on the Chipstead Valley Road last night. (Very Sarf Landan, not that far from Clarion and still inside the M25). Apparently a record, but recorded by amateur meteo.

We only had -9 here - balmy!

-5.5C outside my back door overnight. Up at Reading University (where Mrs B & I walked to this morning, to enjoy the Harris Garden & the woods), the dry bulb minimum was -10.2C, & wet bulb -10.6C, at 7.21 & 7.26 this morning. Still below freezing here.
