Had what my Dad calls 'baby snow' here earlier today but it did not settle.
Slow thaw continues in HA8.

Still snowing. Now has a bit more substance than before but isn't making much of an impression on the ground. I think right out near the coast is was more sleaty.

More thawing here. Still a very turgid 3°C. Commuted on the solo machine, with normal road tyres. Avoided the Prittle Brook Greenway because there are still patches of slush etc. Used the roads. Several bits of really inconsiderate driving by the motons.

Was on a college field trip to Glen Clova today.
Sno either side of the road into Glen Clova higher than the roof of the minibus in places!

Thigh deep sno on the walk up to Loch Brandy too!

There was a bit in London as I was riding to work about 4.30ish, wasn't sticking though, not even in Richmond Park, for which I was grateful as I was back on my road bike rather than my MTB. Not icy either despite the forecast.

Light snow in purbrook has become hard lumpy stuff that needs a hammer and chisel to get off the car. Ho hum, just as well I have a late start as I have to go to the dentist.

Yesterday the cold was forecast for tonight, but even that's been scaled back now. The Met Office was forecasting -7°C, but it's risen to only -2°C in the early hours of tomorrow morning now. Again, it's forecast to not drop below 1°C for the remainder of today.

There's still a bit of snow in my back garden, but most of the snow on the roads and footways had gone last night when I was commuting home.

Snow and almost all of the slush have melted here, but at 8:40 there was lots of black ice in Cotham and Kingsdown. Seems to be all melted by 9:30. Would be nice if the sun would shine, haven't seen it for a week.

Not as much in SA39 as I had expected. In fact, nothing compared to B30.
Both of Mrs. B's support workers and her student have rung to say that they don't want to go in. (which surprises me as the roads seem completely clear - even our lane)
Mrs. B is happy about this. Says she will be able to tackle piles of stuff to do without distraction.

Perhaps it's worse in other areas.

Not much happened after the Met Office's prediction of "80% chance of heavy snow at 6 a.m." unless it snowed heavily from 5:59:59 to 6:00:01. If it did, I missed it.

It seems to be holding fast up at high altitude, still pretty deep up near Bristol airport and yet mostly melted lower down now.
