I've just been on a short trip to the shops. There was a heavy flurry of slushy snow on the way out, turning to gits of rain on the way back.

Mini blizzard in Luton! It was rather nasty trying to cycle over the M1 with a cross wind blowing very cold lumps of ice sideways into your eyes.

We had a sprinkling overnight, but it soon melted. Just been out on the Brommie - it's bitingly cold.

Up here in Banffshire it has not stopped snowing all day. Unlikely to stop all night. Ride back to Aberdeen may be interesting.

Its been snowing in a half-arsed kind of way all the way from County Durham back to North Yorkshire; as far as I can tell it isn't sticking but my drive down the A1 definitely had a 'Millennium Falcon about to jump into hyperspace' vibe about it.

Canardly took it instead (well, the less impressive murky daylight version); we thought it was a speed camera.

Enough snow appears to have settled here to make the pavements treacherous in the morning. I don't think it'll last, though. The temperature's barely zero.

snowed from around 0030 hours but by 0300 hours was melting .just laying on the grass and colder surfaces a little slush on the pavements and sleeting as i write +3 here this morning .

Reading:
Temperature steady at zero to 1C overnight. A thin coating of wet slushy snow. Roads & pavements just wet.

Trying to snow now, but keeps turning to drizzly sleet.

Like Clarion, who is only just up the road a bit from me, it's snowing here, but not settling, other than on plants, because the ground is just too warm.

Biggin Hill airport is registering a balmy 0.6°C, and London City 1°C, so I'll be heating up as I go inwards.

Zero sno here, the sun is shining and it's only slightly cold, certainly no need for winter warm cycling gear to ride back from the garage (the car is in a for a service)
