Dropped from 8.1C (the peak yesterday, about 11pm) to 6.1C here in Reading in the half hour before I went to bed last night.

NW3 Weather reports a max of 8.7C at 00.15 and a min of 1.9C at 02.54, which is precipitous.

Another white frosty morning, but at least there was an air frost in SS2 today! Minimum temperature -0.1°C at 5.05 am. Looking at the day record, the temperature rose again to 0°C by 6am and then dropped like a stone back to -0.1°C for the next hour.

Just above zero here, up from -2°C at 7 am. More snow during night, village plough (i.e. attachment on Hansi's tractor) was through, roads are pretty well clear but not bike-navigable AFAIC. Druther lose one week's condition than six.

minus 5 overnight in sunny Shipton on Cherwell and minus 8 the night before, clay soil round here so once the road in the village is frosty it stays it, no snow yet although the sky has looked ready to dump.

There was a light flurry in Crewe this afternoon, soon turned to sleet. I was out working in it, got soaked through.

Hope it snows here overnight, got the fatty ready. Here's hoping
