Sleet is snow that is half melting as it falls, so it soaks you. It's the most miserable of weather to be out it and really dangerous if you aren't dressed to cope with it. Quite different from snow that is melting when it hits the ground.
It snowed for 2 nights and 2 days but has now eased up to almost nothing.
Should be warmer next week, but still probably rather cold for April. Normally it's shirt sleeve weather...
