Here, in Sunny S. Northants, there's been about a dandruffy fart's-worth in 3 days.
I'm off to do me shopping while the buses are still coming throught the village (they can slide in on snow but can't get out - could end up a bit congested!).

We had barely two inches overnight here in SE London, it's melting rapidly, but the main primary school in Blackheath is closed. My son's primary school, barely 300 yards away, is open as usual. He was not happy walking to school past the neighbours' kids playing snowballs

An inch or so here in the North Downs, melting in the sun. It was frigid when we got home about about 11.30pm last night. I doubt we'll be seeing the bin men (they are all men, I checked) any ungritted roads (all of them, it's Surrey) will have turned to ice.

Snow report from Chester.

About 1.5 cm yesterday morning. Sun came out in the afternoon and melted anything that wasn't shaded. Today light cloud and well below freezing.

We've got SNO here now, about 10cm of the stuff and it keeps having extra flurries to build it a bit higher.

I declined to move the car at 5:20am this morning¹, so Dr Beardy (Mrs) being made of YORKSHIRE and being somewhat bloody minded to boot, set off for the railway station. Being early, she completed her train journey before the Greater Anglian management were awake enough to cancel the service.

The tiny dusting we had overnight has all but gone, tho temps are well beli2 freezing, and further showers are threatened (soon judging by the clouds). ETA - Yep, just started.

Looks like a real do in the Firth of Forth if the Met Office RED warning is to be believed - don’t recall seeing one of those before.

In other news, Gillingham and Chatham snow centre has had to close. Yep, you guessed it, because of the snow

Still snowing here. We've had no heating all morning, as we had someone booked to flush the radiators out today. It's quite chilly. Still, I'm not complaining, because I'm not in work! Back to painting skirting boards...
