An absolutely massive tractor has just managed to get up our lane, but there's no way any normal vehicle will manage, so us and our guests are stuck here. I just wish the fine powdery drifting snow would kindly drift OFF our solar PV panels so I can get some free water heating and electricity! I have not yet sourced a very long pole and a squeegee thing to sweep them off with. I hasten to add its a bungalow with quite a low roof pitch!

Snow here overnight which had mainly melted by lunchtime .more snow this evening has left a thin layer again and the night is still young

A light dusting here by this morning, which was fun for a run up the hill.

That melted in the day, and a similar amount fell this evening. I don't think we'll be stuck for long.

We have a snow 'hour and a half'. The office isn't opening until 10.30 (but I bet they expect us to make the time up

In the end the roads weren't too bad. The crowd we were playing to were very considerate (for a St Paddy's Day crowd) - they didn't start fighting until we were packing up.

Rumbling around in the eastern US, it looks like they might dumping another 8-12 inches of 'wet, gloopy snow' on my midweek travel plans. Which could be interesting. I do so love airport hotels and voucher dining.

No snow here in the east of the eastern angles, but cold again this morning.
I was a bit concerned about the reports earlier in the week about ilfracombe being cut off due to the snow and the several of drivers who had been stranded thereabouts. Why a boy living in the eastern ankles has to worry about what is going on all the way over in western parts is because I have a holiday cottage booked in Ilfrscome from Saturday. It does seem as if access is now possible, but I shall not be taking any watersport equipment as I had originally planned.
