It’s probably around 5cm here, we just took the dog out. It’s still snowing and getting blown all over the place but very, very fine flakes and they don’t make snowballs.

I have to go into work tomorrow after 2 weeks home office. Not fun.

SNO What A Letdown!!1!  The view from the bathroom window just now was of uninspiring greyness with a few half-hearted flakes milling about.  Another Beastern fiasco ;)  I demand that TV's Louise Lear comes round immediately to apologise in person.

It's snowing here in Siberia-on-Sea.The temperature is 0°C but the roads & pavements don't seem to be cold enough yet to allow the snow to settle. It's settling on cars and plants though.

Despite last night's forecast, the snow didn't start here until about 8am or perhaps shortly after.

Definitely snowy here. Went out for a walk, and into the 30mph wind it was seriously cold!

Someone on my Twitter feed said the sno was delayed cos it's currently filling in a 300 page form to get in.

Got probably 10-12cm snow now in Suffolk. the temperature has dropped from +1º at 10 this morning to -1.5º now, so it's starting to settle on the roads. The forecast is for it to drop a bit further and not rise above -2º tomorrow, so it's going to be a bit of a mess for anyone wanting to travel off main roads. Fortunately, I did my 'snow-in' shopping yesterday.

A couple of centimetres on the North Downs. It was a gritty sort of snow, not the fluffy cuddly kind, which in a strong wind was like being sand-blasted. Plenty of SUV-grade snow fun to be seen. Poor traction meet inertia. Loads of people sledging on the golf course, which was the most fun I suspect anyone has ever had on a golf course.

Snowed most of the day here, and things are white, but as the roads were wet, they are unbeSNOEd.

Just put the bins out, and the snow is freezing hard. Icy underfoot. I travel up for the bfuneral tomorrow, so hoping there'll be no hiccups with trains.

Southend in the snow. But that was 1987.

The forecast over the next couple of days is pretty horrendous. We've had a couple of inches so far on parked cars, but the temperature only properly got below freezing at lunch time, and of course we've had a pretty mild week, so nothing has so far settled on the roads.

BBC says much SNO overnight.  The Nogweegies say no SNO.  On recent form I'm inclined to believe them Vikings.

They say it will snow out here in the far east. But I'm inclined to the view that the Met Office exaggerates greatly any precipitation they forecast. In recent months, there have been several days in which they have forecast heavy rain for hours on end, and mostly we end up with <5mm. There have, of course, been some much wetter days. But the forecast seems the same whether we have 5mm in 12 hours or 25mm in 12 hours.
