No more snow here, just white dusting (maybe 1, 2cm) from the past few days, melted in patches. Below zero every night, so it is crisp and crunchy out there.

This mornings rain has now turned to snow, but it’s obv not settling. With the current cloud cover it’s unlikely to get cold enough for the weather to be anything other than wet and miserable.

Since I wrote that, the temperature has dropped to 2.3°C and it has started to snow. Not settling, of course.

We've postponed our trip to Matlock. Jan would have risked a massive asthma attack going out in -6°C, which is what is forecast for 7pm Matlock. Then there's the sheet ice to deal with as the temperature is forecast to drop 5° in an hour around sunset.

Contrary to my earlier post, the snow is now settling on roofs and grass, but is still not settling on the road or garden path. My weather station is now reporting a temperature of 0.8*C

Quite a snowstorm in my bit of Suffolk this morning (around 10). It accumulated to about 2" depth in half an hour, and had all melted by 1pm.

although you can still see some on the surrounding hills.

Pleased to see that the snow melt has refilled my water butt. I had drained it to repair a crack. The repair seems to be holding too.

There was more lying snow in Cumbria yesterday than in Scotlandland. Almost nothing by the Beeftub road.

Last night there were some flakes. Today, wind. Apparently it will be 9 degrees today.

It snowed overnight.
Temp plunged from high of 4 yesterday (all snow melted in the rain and sleet), to about -3.

Fields and trees currently looking very pretty in the snow. Not sure if we'll get more.

It is lovely, but this is the start of lambing season, so not very welcome. Better than wet sleet of course.

It's apparently snowing quite heavily in the Alps.

All a bit irritating as my latest jaunt has had to be postponed. Bah.
