Enjoy this snowfall more than you did the last  :)

will do thanks; very impressed with the trains today; they've been sending those Network Rail snow / leaf - hoovers / scarers up and down all day

don't think my son's driving that to college tomorrow...

Be good if people reporting snow etc could either give the county or nearest town (understand not giving exact location) would give a better picture.

V light snow on and off, all day long.

County: Cuyahoga
Town: Seven Hills

HTH :)

It's snowing like buggery in Horsham.

It's only snowing lightly in Croydon at the moment, but it's just enough to cover up where people had cleared the footpath, so you can't tell if it was clear or icy.  This makes for a very interesting time walking along. :-\
Actually, it is rocket science.

Likewise in Crawley. Funny that. Quick dash to Mr Tesco's Emporium of Food and Electrical Consumer Desireables. In the 20 minutes I was there, my tyre tracks were more or less obliterated.

Last time I saw that view, I had to enlist the help of a passing cyclist to push my car up the slope.

Just a dusting in W4 but I've put the car on the road and facing in the right direction for the morning...

Chucking it down, thick and fluffy, kids sledging down the street, I've finally remembered to turn the outside tap stopcock off.

It's finally arrived in Andover, NW Hampshire.

Not big and fluffy, rather small flakes but lots of them and being blown around quite hard by a stiff wind.

Have you put a shovel, a thermos, a blanket, walking boots, and a good coat in the car for him?

Woodstock, only 5cm of sticky mudguard clogging stuff Monday night, just enough to lay and freeze in my village, roll on Summer.

Now that is a gorgeous photo, but why did you take it at rush hour?  ;D

Out tonight taking pics for the infamous calendar. There is a lot of snow (thigh deep) on the top of Balgay Hill. That did make life entertaining despite the rather frigid weather.

I was very impressed by the dedication of the BBC in sending a reporter to Altnaharra. I was disappointed when he didn't use my favourite word: Katabatic.

It's laying it down out there again, in London.  Going to be interesting in the morning.

Just back from walking pooch- (NSTN's. I am dogsitting) Blythe Hill covered in about 3 inches of fresh snow and still snowing. Only me. dog and a fox out. London silent is a strange, slightly menacing experience- feels like you're on the set of some apocalyptic film. Brockley Rise had not been resalted or gritted (maybe the council weren't expecting snow?!!?) So a good few inches of dirty, slippery, horrid slush- much worse than snow for riding.  I'm hping the A2 will be clear and I can get to work without upending myself.

At last, about 3" down here in mid Devon!  *skip*  *dawn fettle*
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Not much going on in Brum.  Although it fluttered down more or less constantly yesterday, it's not really amounted to anything.
Ice, even on major routes, is dreadful.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Lights just flickered - meaning weight of snow is dragging the cables down. We may disappear from the 'net at any moment.

But we are prepared to survive the snopocalypse. We finished winterising the larder last weekend and now have supplies of food and candles to last weeks.
