First 4 are from the salt line. The bridge with the robins is on Wheelock rail trial (start of). I was annoyed with myself - I could get within 4 ft of the robins (someone had put seed on the bridge), but only had a 20mm lens with me. I could have got a really nice winter robin shot if I'd had my telephoto.

They've been there for a fortnight and are the reason that the trapped couple have run out of scran.

Argh, severe weather warning for yet more frikkin white stuff tonight and tomorrow morning. Starting to wonder if we'll get to x-mas at this rate.

No snow today. None falling and the stuff on the ground is melting. It made pulling the sledge hard in places - still, I need the exercise! Predicted to be cold tomorrow, though.

Went back today, and got the robins.

Still a bit cool in Liverpool and I've had no running water since the weekend. Whoever built this place with external riser pipes needs to have his wedding tackle rubbed down with sandpaper

As a hardened camper I really don't mind, there are showers in the office to keep my colleagues from complaining, but I'm rapidly running out of clean underwear !

The white stuff is getting to be a nuisance. Frozen pipes in the house and I've just received an email from the cycling club secretary to say that the Boxing Day ride is now a Boxing Day walk!

My robin seemed very pleased I had poured a kettle of boiling water into pond to keep a hole melted tonight, he hopped in for a drink and a bath and then went and chomped on some meal worms I left him on the bird table. I have put out lots of extra food for the birds at the moment, they all seem hungry.

Our boxing day TT has been cancelled/postponed. I think the email had a subtext:
" ... so get a couple of hours in on the turbo."

Snowing on and off here. Mrs Aidan made the decision to go to work by train this morning rather than drive and thats looking very much like a sensible decision now.
