Title: Cheap, fastish, winter trike for flat commute in Scotland project.
Post by: recumbentim on 03 July, 2014, 07:49:48 pm
My problem en ecosse is in winter is bad road conditions and reluctance to take good CA2 in said conditions. I usually build up 29er with winter tyres but that dose not inspire me much with a 16.5 mile commute.
My solution , for your comments , especially from experienced 3 wheeled recumbenteers is as follows ;-
Buy a KMX Typhoon off e bay -- fit 451 rims and faster tyres to all 3 wheels --- fit wide range 9 or 10 speed cassette on a single and fabricate some gaurds and a waterproof pannier.
Possibly cheap and fastish don't go together in your experience ????
