Reducing number of trackpoints on Bikehike.

This doesn't appear to be working for me. I'm trying to plot routes in France & have to reduce them to 249 trackpoints to fit on my aging Etrex. It gives you the option to do it, but then freezes. Using a Mac & it's always worked before.
Are there any other on line route planners that will let me do this ? Back to Michelin maps if not

will probably do it. It's not a planner, but you can submit a Track GPX and it will convert it to a, er, Track GPX and hiding under 'advanced options' there is one for max number of points.
Which old Etrex will only handle <250 trackpoints? All the old colour models will handle 500.

Thanks, that appears to do the job I need. It's an Etrex Legend HCX, if I try a route with more than 250 points it gets truncated.
