Our thoughts are with his family.  Bob was a great bloke to ride with.

Getting to 86 and still being able to get out on the bike is something to celebrate, and something that very few achieve.

Nothing sadder than seeing an old soldier hanging up / selling up the bikes.

Finally reunited with his beloved wife Muriel.

No funeral arrangements yet. The executors are busy with French bureaucracy for a start I understand! It's likely to be a couple of weeks at least, but I'll post here as soon as I know

I remember his name when I was a young club rider in the 1960s but never had the pleasure of meeting him.

I offer my sincere condolencies to his family.

The funeral of Bob Maitland will be on Monday 27th September. The Service and Cremation will be at Sutton Crematorium, Tamworth Road, Sutton Coldfield, B75 6LG at 11.00. Afterwards at Aston Wood Golf Club,132 Blake Street, Sutton Coldfield. B74 4EU. Flowers will be by Bobs three Clubs, Solihull CC, Concorde CC & CC Giro. All other donations to the The Dave Raynor Fund, via Cutler Funeral Directors Ltd, 5 Little Sutton Road, Sutton Coldfield, B75 6QB
