I’m hoping to put in an appearance next Wednesday as we don’t start until 2200 hrs.

What could possibly go wrong! I’m glad my post isn’t being sorted in your locality!

We do Bishops Stortford!

Well, at least my post will be safe as you'll be drinking soft drinks only.

Regarding arrangements for the evening, do we arrive at the front for the valet bike parking, or head straight to the tradesman's entrance. If the latter, how do we recognise the correct gate?

Will there be food we can make a financial contribution to? Not an issue if not, just means I'll plan to stop somewhere for eats on the way across.

What time start?

Will there be a minimum distance ridden to avoid lazyitis setting in for the locals?

A fair bit of discussion on Wed about this, a few takeaways were covered, sounded like it will be curry... potentially more info from CFO when he gets to it...

This week will be a visit to a new venue - the Bryony Nano Brewery - the cyclists' entrance at the back garden gate is linked and there will hopefully be a lit festive decoration to identify the correct gate to come through, bike parking available. PM me if you need a postal address to navigate to.  A selection of at least 3 beers will be on gravity feed or bottled.
The end-of-year curry will also feature by way of a pre-order takeaway which the BB has kindly said he'll go collect, far exceeding his usual duties but as beer will be self-service that balances out.  The intention is for curry to be available from 8pm for early arrivals, maybe earlier if there is enough demand for a 7pm dining experience; there is a warming up facility if necessary for anyone arriving at the traditional time of 9pm.  Please reply to this thread or PM with your pre-order in the next couple of days and certainly before 5 on Wednesday.  The Raj Garden at White Notley has been selected for the takeaway provider, menu items here, do not order at that page just use it for selecting your dishes.

To get the order ball rolling:
huggy - Chicken Sagwala, Mushroom Rice, Gobi Bhajee
ted - Chicken Madras, Pilau Rice (happy to share), keema naan
Carlos - Onion bhajee, Naga Vegetable Nagarathan, Garlic naan

I’m not sure whether I can make this Wednesday and if I can what time it will be. So don’t worry about curry (although I’m happy to dispose of leftovers) I’ll just drink beer if I manage to show my face.

Nope, everyone will be encouraged to leave after drinking up time.  Some of us actually still have a job to get up for in the morning, although there are fewer of us than there used to be

Why oh why oh why is this not to be missed year-end curry and homebrew extravaganza during the season when illness prevails? I'm struck down, and my interesting plan to cycle out from London will have to remain a plan for another day.
