And Jurek again, by London Bridge as I was emerging from the market with my bag of veg after failing to get tickets to see the bint with the ferret.  He was off for some fundamental punishment with a ride to Cambridge - what a lovely day for it!

A Charlotte at the bike show, rather taken aback by my declamation of "I claim my five pounds". She didn't give it to me.

Last night, I think I spied Crock of Gold on his Cooper out of the corner of my eye in a group of cyclists near Clapham Common, but I was late and hurrying home, so didn't have time to chat.

Jane, NSTN, Rob (close enough) and Jurek at the LCC 'Go Dutch' photo-shoot* this afternoon.

* The less said about the organisation of the event the better.
;D  Andrij.  I pronounce you Complete and Utter GIT

You (and your bike) looked totally dapper Andrij.

One might even say that Jasper needs to sharpen his act  :P

Not really

EDIT - Akshully NTSN looked so utterly at one with her sit up bike, it defies belief. That bike is so Laura.

Thanks Jurek. I do love that bike.

A photo will be forthcoming if LCC are a) organized enough to email me the photo they took and b) actually send me the correct photo and not someone else's  ::-) At the moment I'm not holding my breath, given the chaos that presided yesterday.

(For those who don't know, the deal was you let them take a professional photo of you & your bike to use in their Go Dutch campaign, and in return they gave you a copy)

I wonder if they may have been of this parish...

About 2pm I spotted a VC167 going through Wheldrake, as I was waiting for a bus.  He turned off up the lane to Escrick.  That's my normal Friday commute route, which I miss greatly and probably won't be able to do any more because of Life'n'Stuff getting in the way... Git!   ;)

Outside Sainsburys this evening on the way home, a cheery 'hello!' alerted me to the presence of a pair of Cubs in the company of their father - it being the EldestCub who had hailed me. The resultant conversation encompassed the narrowness and exclusivity within the 9-10 year old age bracket of drop handlebars, the identity of the planet shining just below the moon, the fact that the moon always kept the same face towards the earth, the fact that tonight's crescent looked like a banana (that from the SmallestCub) and what we were all going to have for dinner, and sent me on my way much more cheerful than before.

If I had a baby elephant, it could help me wash the car. If I had a car.

One tonyh, twiddlin' en-route to Northleach

... and I did spot one iddu beside a road near Highworth, but presumed he was a hallucination prompted by

(a) my addled state (must learn to relax more, and pay attention to the real world)
(b) having passed through iddu-ville an hour or so earlier
(c) being on a bit of the Poor Student 200, recently organised BY iddu (thanks again)
(d) the imminent need to climb a very small hill.

In-head conversation for the rest of the ride:
"Hang on, that really WAS iddu, with a cheery greeting and enquiry about what I was up to..."
"Imagination playing tricks again, just keep going..."

Very sorry I was "asleep", iddu. Silly to miss such a strange opportunity to stop and say hello.

Thanks for posting. And for being wide awake! I hope your day was going ok.

Had you prefaced it with: "I am lobby Ludd…" I think all would have been clear for Chocolate.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

I was greeted by Origamist at Oval today.  I exchanged a few words, but let him get away, as I was struggling to breathe in anything like a sensible manner at the time.

This weekend I have spotted a Charlotte, a Julian, a why1040, a Phil+(most delightful)1, and a Gattopardo.  This has involved much high quality entertainment, coffee, beer, food (both delicious and dirty), and bonus added SNO. And one or two, possibly more, incredible belly-laughing-to-the-point-of-failing-to-breathe-properly incidents :)

THis morning, as I walked to work, a CrinklyLion and two cubs who were, as the SmallestCub irrepressibly informed me "going to school!"

CL and I were both less than impressed with the icy conditions underfoot, I think.

Do we know anyone else there?

As I was standing outside Apex Cycles in Clapham, I saw a lone rider on a Charge Plug zooming up towards the Common.  It took me a moment, but I'd know that riding style anywhere.  Never saw his face, but it was Origamist.
