A slightly knackered looking Von Broad at the Hillingdon track today; well, he did do the Elenith yesterday!  Don't think we've met since the Winter Solstice 200 in 2007 :o
Good to see you again Dave.

Just met Blacksheep and Mrs Blacksheep out on the roads in Majorca. YACF Jersey worn by Mrs B being a bit of a giveaway.
I am often asked, what does YOAV stand for? It stands for Yoav On A Velo

At approximately 1040hrs I espied Jane  :-*, OTP, leading 20+ LCC Lewisham* riders along South Hanningfield Road, anti clockwise around the reservoir.

*I think it was that group.  :-\

Quite likely them.
Jane's leading a Lewisham Cyclists ride from Wickford to Heybridge Basin and back, today.

bloody 'undreds of 'em today.  Must have been a sportive on in my neck of the woods.  Lots of nods, waves, good mornings and even a cap doffing  - I was on the recumbent today.

They're going to suffer later though, the wind is starting to get up, and it's not warm.

When I passed that way heading for York a couple of years ago I got caught up in a sportive, and greatly confused the chap taking photos at a bend in the road. The wind was, indeed, a bastard, requiring a dismount in some crosswinds near Manea to avoid being pushed right over the other verge.

That doesn't surprise me at all, I've taken a 90 degree left hander and struggled not to get blown across into the right hand ditch before now

Andrij, on a Moulton, heading East along High Holborn around lunchtime.  We were a pied, and hailed him, but his steely determination drove him onwards with no backward glance :(

In addition to the forumites I expected to see, or didn't expect but still saw in expected circumstances - or even failed to - at the weekend, I also unexpectedly bumped into one Damitamit on Christmas Common, mid-audax (or similar).

Phartiphuckborlz, who appeared on his bike at the Den last night with a hyoooooge plastic storage crate attached with great cunning to his backpack.  Said crate containing much excitement for Cubs.

(he had sent a PM to find out if the SmallestCub still played with lego, to which I replied that even the EldestCub still did on occasion.  If his gf isn't around, anyway...)

I'm not sure that it's possible to grow out of Lego.  You just run out of room to store it.

Oh yes.

But when I woke them up for school this morning there was a mere fraction of the usual 'don'tWANNAs' from the littly about getting out of bed when I reminded him of its existence.  And we had NO computers before school at all, because neither of them even asked - which is pretty bloody rare round ours!
