Always good to meet folk.  Darkpoint being a particularly pleasantly sociable type of chap

I was going to put on my yacf jersey this morning in the hope of being spotted (I seem to cross an awful lot of folks' commutes), but I opted for my garish Clarion one instead, which, sadly (in one sense) is still a rare sight on the streets of London (or anywhere ;D ), so I'm not camouflaged in any way.

The combination of a Caradice and a cycle shirt with your name on did make you rather easy to spot.

Oddly I was just thinking,  if I am going to see Clarion, it would be about here, and there you where... :-)

I'm so slow I seem to be in the same spots for a long time.  Easy to find ;)

Curiously, I did wonder yesterday when I was next going to see you :)

Steely faced bent rider heading west this morning in a pursuit race with a 207 bus in Ealing. My money was on Charlotte.
A shitter and a giggler.

Bright red, low-slung idiotbike?  Aye, that was me alright.

TBH, an Optima Baron isn't the ideal London commuting tool, but I'd been a-fettlin' and I wanted to see how it handled.

On the contrary, a low racer can be the ultimate commuting machine, depending on your commute of course.  It's at a disadvantage in the really tight confined central city spaces with lots of lights and dense traffic, since ducking and diving through multiple lanes of stationary traffic isn't so good.  OTOH anywhere that traffic can move, it comes out waaaay ahead of an upright.

That's certainly true, and, knowing your commute, I think you have the ideal machine, and make the most of it ;)

I'm suspecting probably not someone on here, but I was on a bus in Helsinki last week and saw a chap riding a Pompino with full length guards, a Carradice and a Karrimor waterproof.   I'm guessing he was British :)

He looked to be commuting so it'd be someone who lives there, I suppose

Were you thinking of this?

Were you going past East Putney tube yesterday afternoon at about 330?

Nope, didn't get out on the bike yesterday at all. Recovering from Saturday's 200.

Not a spotting in person, so by proxy, I guess.

In this months Cycling Active (the one with the free DVD of bike maintenance on the front) there is an article about the Tweed Run.  The first photo has a picture of the back of Aunty C's head in the background and the article mentions Mikey (not by name, but by description, as the cyclists disrupt his skating lesson)

This morning, I wore my Clarion jersey, and rode an extra 10km on roads I don't normally use, including along Embankment.  I wasn't spotted :(

Try wearing a King of the Mountains jersey, you'll be spotted then.

I saw Valiant with a bike this morning.  I have it on good authority that he rode it later, which is the first one in a while.

I was fully loaded, but late for work, so I was giving it some.  Red forum jersey, of course.

You should have shouted.  I didn't spot you, I'm afraid :( :( :'(

You were going too fast  ;) I was literally just coming out of Vassall Road onto the southside of the A3 and there were loads of cyclists
