What images do you regret missing?
« on: 09 January, 2009, 12:33:55 am »
This evening was a "Wish I had my camera" evening

Along with tripod, stout walking boots and lots of warm clothing. It would have helped also not to have had the Mil, Mrs J and Miss J in the car.

A glorious deep red smudge on the skyline, with leaf-less trees silhouetted and a rolling freezing mist between the trees and the ground.

Many years ago I was in Glasgow and saw across the road a very large lady leaning on a lamppost that had previously been hit by a vehicle and was at a jaunty angle. Needless to say the bus that came along and obscured my view also scooped her up.

What images can you remember missing?
It is simpler than it looks.

A homeless man across the road, sitting begging outside a boarded up second hand shop called 'Second Best', just round the corner from my house. I was at the bus stop at the time and was sorely tempted to run home for the camera loaded with HP5, but I was on my way to an interview for a job (which I didn't get).
