Yep. A space would be very much appreciated.

I am afraid I am now not able to attend this joyous occasion. Family commitments have put a spanner in the works. I will have to see if they want to go out for a curry (I doubt it). I will now have to wait till next year for my next curry. >:(

I think many / most attendees who are not driving down are likely to be west London types.

The East London route that we've done the last couple of years is a bit bleak.  Would anybody feel strongly about a route that took in the Embankment - Putney - quick blat round Richmond Park - and to the Seekrit Bunker to lock up bikes prior to curry?  I know at least one person has a Christmas bike that won't take to being locked up outside Brick Lane.  (Although this depends on curry being available on Boxing Day anywhere other than Brick Lane).

If anyone can't make that then we'll do the same as before and end up at Brick Lane.  :)

Can I be the first say that this would be terribly convenient for me and that I'm quite happy to lock up my bike at the SEEKRIT BUNKER?

Is there a decent curry house within easy reach that will actually be open? :P

If there isn't a wave of vocal opposition to the idea, I will find out.

Yebbut. If we go to Brick Lane I can have a bagel for afters :D

(Actually, I'm not that bothered where the curry is, as long as it's tasty and there's BEER to go with it.)

Howzabout a Royal Parks route? Take in Hyde Park, Richmond Park & Bushy Park?
Won't somebody think of the hamsters!

central start & finish would be marginally easier from here, but it's not a biggie.  The parks would be a nice ride, although might they be full of wobbly kids on shiny bikes? (not you, Liz :D)

That would work, too.

I don't think they'd be too full of kids on bikes (and anyway Mike, I'll bring my stabilisers ;)), everyone will still be visiting relatives...

I can't be there .... but to do an abridged version - just the western half - of Bill Carnaby's London Sightseer Audax would be a good ride for Boxing Day.

That certainly includes the parks mentioned (and even Kensington Gardens for the pedants who KNOW that half of "Hyde Park" is really KG  :) )

I have the route sheet if you want it.

If the plan this year is to go west then I'll be happy to join you as going west cannot possibly as bleak as going east as we did on the  previous two Boxing Day rides.

However, I will be expecting some sort of  a nentertainment.  :)

Right, that sounds like a decent number in favour of going west.  :)

The good news is that there is a curry place near the SEEKRIT BUNKER which will be open on Boxing Day, the better news is that it's not the Posh Punjab.

However, they do want us to book, so I need numbers and I need to work out what sort of time we'll be there.  This involves at least an attempt at organisation on my part.

So:  if you're coming for curry please let me know asap.  So far I have:

Might be able to join for curry but only if it's after 7/8pm which I doubt. But I shall be working in the office to greet those driving in. If anyone else needs spaces, please lemme know :)

Definite for peddalin'.
Unlikely for poppadoms.

In the event that the 'poppadoms'  bit changes on the day, I'll cross that bridge.... etc....

I'm in for the ride.

I am completely unable to decide about the curry. I guess it is best to consider me a "likely" for food.

Is it worth me pointing out that Charlotte & Liz are supposed to be chez Pike on the night of Boxing Day? Or do plans take this into account?  :)
