It is my firm intention to be there.

What is the starting time & venue? I'll probably make my way to Upminster and use the District line. Ergo, returning from Ealing to Upminster will be straightforward.

I doubt if Mrs. Wow will be interested: we've never tried taking the tandem on the tube, but it would be an experience. I doubt if she would ride a solo machine.

Anyone else need car parking spaces? I'm in Limehouse so not far from almost anywhere in London.

I can't come on the ride so this is my way of being involved lol. *goes to stock up on bricks*

Well, just had the Xmas rail schedules issued at work. Gatwick express is replaced by buses for both Xmas and Boxing Day, so as I am on a double shift and finish at midnight on Xmas Day, I shall have to withdraw. Dammit.

What is the starting time & venue?

Having sifted through the last couple of pages - since the time that going west was mooted as a plan - I see no indication of either.
Have they yet to be decided?
Have they got lost amongst the baubles and glitter?
Am I being a nag?  :)

Right:  here is The Plan.

Meet at Hyde Park Corner (where the FNRttCs begin) at 11am.

Ride west a little bit.

Enjoy the incomparable bliss of empty roads.

Spin round a couple of parks.

Lock up bikes at the SEEKRIT BUNKER and head out for curry at a rather nice venue in Northfields for 4pm.

Total ride should be about 25 miles.

Am I right on who's coming for curry?  Anybody can decide on the day if they're doing the ride, but I'd like to book the curry space asap...

We're definite for the meal. Thank-you. I shan't be around until later on Boxing Day and E has guests during the day, so we're probably not able to join you for the ride.

Curry is being booked for 4pm - a late lunch / early dinner.  We will meet you there, in that case - it's at Papaya on Northfields Avenue.

Wellington Arch in the middle of Hyde Park Corner. The South East end of the park at the western end of Constitution Hill.

I will check if my potential pink pass includes a plus one for the meal. She doesn't bite but she has to be approached with caution...

Meet at Hyde Park Corner (where the FNRttCs begin) at 11am.

Sorry to sound ignorant but I have not been on an FNRttC. Is that the north west corner of Hyde Park where the folk stand on the orange boxes and rant? Or where? It's a big park.

Underneath Wellington Arch at the top of Constitution Hill.

Plus the 100km to get to the ride and back! That'll make it 140km in all ... and I can't cheat as the (Metropolitan line) trains aren't running, I just checked. See you there.

So you get an extra ride, you lucky thing! :D

I will be in sunny London, but will have the youngsters and no bike.  Shame it's not the Northfields in Wandsworth

I take it there's no ciritcal mass then?  In which case I won't drag people up there

Much as I would love to join you, I am about to head south for Xmas. Not far just until I reach the sea.

There is a CM Boxing Ride, I dunno the details though.

To those parking their cars at mine, I just have to warn you that considering the final destination, it's a fair distance from the curry place, at first it was assumed it would be at Brick Lane or thereabouts. Northfields is about 10-12 miles away I think.

HPC is only 6 miles, so making it to the start isn't a problem. I'm not now going to be able to go for the curry, so I'll just ride straight back to yours, which means I should get there about 4:30. Is that OK Valiant?
