Where are you working  ? You could play catch up some where on route if you fancy a sprint as we are not going to go fast. And knowing yACF's rides they never tend to take off on time anyway :)

I'll finish anytime from 11.30 or so to 1, depending. Can you pm me your number and I'll text you on the day if I finish before let's say 12?

Ting Tong has had enough of rough routes for a while and needs some repairs courtesy of Heathrow baggage handlers...

Serious damage?

Not too bad thank Heavens.  I need to get a new cable hanger for the front brakes and a new fitting for the front mudguard.  Although she know has a worrying rattle in the front wheel (which may be related to the mudguard)...

She'll be passed to Mr Smith for an examination and tender ministrations ASAP.

Not too worrying then, but unecessary and upsetting all the same.

This sounds extremely tempting. I will try to persuade Mrs. Wow out - she is currently a rape victim (the plant, not the criminal offence) and is all bunged up.

I think you can safely count at least one of us in.

It will be great to meet you all.

My sympathies to Mrs Wow, I'm currently a victim of something pollen related and coughing my lungs up.

Sounds fun. I've done the GUC in that area a couple of times - bit bumpy, a few pointless obstacles and a general vibe of "Am I permitted to cycle here?" but all in all a very enjoyable pootle. Count me as a potential +1
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

As you are passing my door I might tag along too! I shall possibly pick you up on the Askew Road at about 1130.

[Victor Meldrew] I don't believe it! [/Victor Meldrew]

Commuting in this morning, Sheldon's front mech gave up the ghost entirely!   >:(  He's less than a month old and this was only his third ride out!

He has been returned to the shop from whence he was purchased for fettling.  They tried to flog me off with an appointment at the end of next week but I mentioned the 'Sale of Goods Act' and 'fir for purpose' and they suddenly had an opening today...  >:(

I am not a happy bunny.  If Shelson isn't fixed by tomorrow, then there'll be no CM or Saturday foray for me...  :'(

How long will it take two slow tandemists to travel from Lpoo St to Parsons Green on a pleasant Saturday morning?

And can anyone recommend a route?

I was thinking of the usual-ish London Wall - Holborn Viaduct - New Fetter Lane - Strand - Traf Sq - The Mall

then Buck Pal Rd - Pimlico Rd - Chelsea Embankment - King's Road.

I'd probably allow an hour, Wow.

I find it quickest just to do Bishopsgate / Threadneedle / Queen Victoria / Victoria Embankment, onto the embankment as soon as possible, and whiz along to the end where it meets New King's Road. It is a far from straight line, I know, but I find it the least hassle.

Another possible here.

Though the ride home again may dictate that I leave the fixed at home.

Route 1 to Parsons Green 7miles and way the fastest one. As S. Pluck said less hassle.

Route 2 not to Parsons Green but meet us on the junction Askew Road/Uxbridge Road.

Around the 7 and a bit miles each. So around 50-60min traffic shouldn't be that bad at that time in the am.

FatBloke or is it NotSoFatBloke now ? It would be great too see you :)

Since we are getting so many I gotta do a route check :) As I have only ridden on some of it years ago and they are doing work atm here and here on the canal. And I'm not 100% sure if you can cycle all the way, I might have time but I'm not sure. So please excuse me if I send us out on a few detours and we might have to double back here and there.

Remember it is a recce ride :)

Much as I'd like to do this, I'm running out of time moving house/flat, so I need to spend this weekend finishing off doing that, rather than cycling. :(

Even if I wasn't doing all this, I would really have to be returning to the deepest South-West for my niece's birthday, so I can't really come up with a decent excuse that lets my do a ride.  I've been doing pretty well with organised (or semi-organised!) rides recently, probably close to one every weekend.  It's good fun, but as usual, the rest of the world gets in the way of important stuff like cycling.

If you work out the route with this ride, I can do it at some later date, without the diversions and doubling back! ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

I would do this, but I have a music festival that I am an organiser for happening on that day.
It is simpler than it looks.
