Let me suggest that the first thing your appeal should contain is the correct spelling of my higher authority's name ;D otherwise you may have a further 3 point endorsement ::-)

I don't know what you mean... :-[

I'll be there, not sure whereabouts I'll be camping yet as I believe the site is full and I didn't get the form off in time.
Will either put the bivvy bag next to someone's tent or use the site up the road.

Room will be found for you on the Fell Club pitch should you want a spot.

Sounds like a plan

I'll be cycling from Chelmsford on the Friday, loaded with camping gear. Depending on how many pub stops are involved, we should get there late afternoon/early evening ;).

Don't plan to do anything on Saturday other than watch the ladies racing.

I shall be racing on Sunday - don't know what events yet but my entry form has been submitted and I've had confirmation .

Cycle home again on Monday.

The weather has been good for the last couple of years, can it be three in a row?

If not a fluid ounce of Stella passes your lips on Saturday, I shall be very impressed! There will be no peer pressure from me, but will you be able to resist the slab of Stella I'll have in our usual spot?!  ;D
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Well, I'll have to ration it out ;). It certainly won't be the booze-fest of previous years!

I may be able to make a flying visit on the Sunday late afternoon, on my way back to Thetford Forest....

...but I'll be in a car.

I've got an extended weekend pass :D BUT will have at least one offspring along for the ride (on tandem) so no randonnee again 'sigh'. We will be riding up on Friday.
In recent years we have tagged along on the Tricycle Association ride, they always find some quaint spot in the vicinity to head to for CAKE: Newmarket horse-racing museum last time, before that to a working pumping station-more interesting than it sounds!!
I must resolve not to buy any more old tat from the jumble-sale! ::-)

I will cycle up on Friday (75 miles), ride the 100k on the Saturday (this is the WARTY for August), slob about on the Sunday and get the train home in the evening. There is a family "do" to attend on teh Monday else I would be tempted to stay an extra day.

How is using a fixed on the flat Fens a penance?

Have you ever pushed a 74" gear for a 100km against a 30mph headwind across the fens?  :demon:

Hmm... are those my knees I can smell burning?

Yes and usually after a fast 200km to Wells next the sea as  part of the Green and Yellow fields :)

I might try and get up on the Monday.

We have decided not to attend.
I can't be arsed to drag the caravan down there given the iffy weather forecast

Metoffice reckon dry and sunny, if a little breezy, on Sat and Sun.
Cycling up there on Friday could be hard work though...

For towing my trailer up there on fixed, a 34kph tailwind sounds ideal.

10 day Weather in Mildenhall - weather.co.uk

Looks fine to me.

That's a better (more detailed)  forecast than the one I've been looking at.Still doesn't give me any enthusiasm to drag the CARAVAN down there.

Hope that's clear/concise enough for you simonp ;D
