Yep - cycle camping as always.

I always feel people who drive and camp are cheating! It is after all a cycle rally  :P

Why? It's OK for people who live close by but a month round trip from Stornoway? Surely it's about the event, the socialising, the celebration of cycling and the craic and not how you get there?

I think it would be OK to drive to somewhere nearby, then cycle with camping gear to the event.

Oh - by the way - Erron, Bloody good work on the grass; The Chelmer machine looked good out there on the track, and you stood out as a key component of it .

:-* Thanks. I'm all aches today, and my leg is a bit sore from the crash incident! Had a great weekend though. I'll type up a full report a bit later, should have a few photos too.

Yes, well done indeed!

Did I have a smack down on the way home? I was obviously beered up and this morning I discovered a rather pleasing chain ring shaped injury. Bizarrely on my left calf! How the hell did I do that?!!

::-) Do you not recall where we stopped on the road To Bury St. Edmunds and as you went to get off your bike the weight of the panniers tipped it over rather suddenly, resulting with you in a heap and me laughing my head off. ;D

[edit] my crash incident was on the track, and the result of a guy swerving into me!

Not me. I was too busy laughing studying the intricate architecture of Mildenhall Church.
