Cheese Sandwich and Chips please.

and

BEER!

There was a good selection of BEER on both the occasions that we were there. Woodford's Wherry seems to be a resident. They also had St. Austell Tribute (very good indeed) and at least one other, as well as draught cider.

I didn't look at the selection of single malts (in case of snow).

Does this affect anyone's travelling plans for this Saturday's ride?

http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/rtti/buses_replace_trains_between_manningtree_and_harwich_town_until_further_notice

It's a replacement bus in the Harwich area due to a landslide, you couldn't make it up!

I don't think that will affect anyone except Moondog if he comes (and I haven't heard that he is). It doesn't affect the main London/Manningtree/Stowmarket line. But well done for spotting it!

Phew, that had my worried for a few seconds, especially since I spent my money on this some months back!

It still looks like I should pack a few extra sets of spare clothing though.

In view of the dire weather forecast at present not certain that I'll come. If so, I'd like fish pie, but please don't commit to this - I'm not sure what the arrangement with the pub is!

I gave up on trying to get rail tickets, as it required specifying which train to return on, so I'll drive to Stowmarket if I attend.

Rainlegs!

do you know where in lavenham you'll be taking tea?  I'll aim to see you there at about 11, then ride with you till lunch but not actually stop for food, just continue into the headwind and rain all the way home :D

Have a nice ride.  I'll be nursing an hangover and cycling on Sunday instead (Cambridge Cycling Club run).

I am pleased that i pass through your thoughts occasionally Helen.
The old bones have been a bit poorly recently.I hope to remount on Monday after a months rest.

Yes there is another landslide on the Manningtree line. The whole peninsular seems to be slipping into the North Sea.The deeper they dig the channel to allow larger vessels into Felixstowe the more i am sure it will slide.
