1 I guessed correctly based on my encyclopaedic knowledge of art, the others...

When I said "almost all guesses" I really meant some were pure guesses and a few I had a hunch from something or other. None of them would I say I actually knew.

It seems to be a regular series. Hours of lockdown art and entertainment!

I've just been through all the ones that have been posted so far. Didn't score more than 4/8 on any of them.

A few on today's quiz I thought I knew the answers to, but apparently not...

A lot of the questions are more historical or on other topics around the art rather than directly about the art. For instance, questions 4 to 8 on this quiz https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2020/apr/17/the-great-british-art-quiz-waddesdon-manor-buckinghamshire can be answered or at least guessed at with a bit of general knowledge about dogs, fairy tales and the habits of British royalty.

I daren't own up to my degree studies... My knowledge of Twentieth Century art (and design) is better.
