My Toyota satnav loved to go down Deansgate to window shop.

And never worked out the existence of one of the roads out of Crowborough.

I'm absolutely exhausted.  I'm going to blame a combination of asthma last night and a weekend which, though fun, involved distinctly suboptimal amounts of digestive fail, Being Too Hot and driving, often at the same time.

Better helping you than a traffic jam, forgetting of something important or epic navigational cockup (the less said about the time we drove back from D-tek without a map and discovered the M6 was closed the better).

As I said, I'm happy enough that we were in a position to do something positive, it's not like you wouldn't do the same for someone else if the circumstances were different.

Standing.

Shoved around.

Not one person tried to help or offered me a seat.

Fuckers!

I need to make up those "Excuse me, I'm disabled - PLEASE give me a seat" badges so that people wearing one (by choice - thank you TfL patronising numpties) might get noticed or feel a little teeny bit more empowered to ask for a seat and maybe get one...

Kulcha. Maybe we need to get more used to standing being the norm before this happens. I do not think Poles are any more polite than Englos but it is the norm there to stand for elderly, disabled, parents with small kids (and for the kids then to sit on knees not seats), etc - just because the buses are usually packed and have been for 50 years.

<in Grumble thread as it is my choice to work 180 miles from home>

Idiot that decides Friday afternoon is a good time to cause an accident on the A1, North of Peterborough, thanks a fucking lot, I will now have to endure the A10 and A17 to get back on the A1, as will millions of other people, thus making me late home and making me miss a night ride.

Ah, so your free WiFi is not 'here is the code, fire away' it is actually 'login using your email, phone number and name (all mandatory fields, natch). We totally promise not the spam the shit out of you and sell on your details'.

*tap tap tap*

So just entering a series of o or 0 depending on the field doesn't work eh? For my 'convenience' eh?

Nope, just a restaurant/bar WiFi offering.

I'm on my mobile's data connection now though, as I spent too long working on a document and was 'logged out'. I can't reconnect now, despite the reconnect auto-loaded page's best efforts.

We have had a round of drinks free after I complained that their 'business, booze and bangers' slogan didn't exactly light the world on fire. Especially at £4.95 a pint of Fosters.

Oh bugger.  I think I should have a hair cut.  For deity's sake. That will be three this year.  That will be £22.50 this year.  (£27 inc, tips)

Actually, it takes at least 4 weeks from me deciding that I should have a hair cut to me actually submitting to the hell of a non blokey bloke exposing his rubbish blokeyness in a heavily blokey situation.

Why do the pictures in the Haynes manual never seem to match up with what's under the bonnet?
Miles cycled 2014 = 3551.5 (Target 7300 :()
Miles cycled 2013 = 6141.4
Miles cycled 2012 = 4038.1

This woman speak da troof.

I had a Peugeot 309 once and needed to fettle something, timing belt probably. This involved locking the engine TDC by placing an xmm diameter drill in the hole in the flywheel housing provided for the purpose and poking it into a hole in the flywheel.  The HBOL said the hole in the flywheel housing was toward the back of the engine. An hour of fruitless poking, with swearing as appropriate, followed by Looking Elsewhere found the hole towards the front of the engine.  Gits.
