Zouch! But the good news is that you're still here, will get better, and are posting in the Good News Thread.

I was hit head on at (police estimate) 85mph while driving taxi, hurt beyond belief with tongue cut into three pieces both knees shot ribs etc etc, however still preferable to not waking up,
                                                               :o

Sounds horendous; when was this and where ?   Glad you woke up afterwards.

I managed to fix the corrupted tcx file my Edge 705 had produced. Dunno why it lost the lap information or why it put points into the file in a strange order (they weren't useful because it never regained the GPS lock after being inside Sainsbury's). Stripped out duff info, reset appropriate IDs to the real start of the ride and it imports fine into GoldenCheetah and Garmin Training Centre. :)

It's also good because it contained some healthy stats.

this was a couple of years ago, thank you all, it took a while to get over it but hey, no longer drive a taxi (nothing to do with the accident), but anyway even when life hurts either physically or emotionally it's preferable to the alternative.
Prefer dry and 25c on the trike but a cold frosty morning (as the forecast says for now) is sweet.

I find a while spent in proximity to extinction can put things into perspective. You're right.

My two kids (24 and 25) have just inherited about £30K each from an aunt of mine that's just died. Takes the pressure off us a bit.

So do I. But it probably won't be from me.  :)

Yes, a lot of dosh. Total estate was about half a million. This was accumulated by a couple from pretty poor backgrounds in Yorkshire - she never worked and he worked for the local authority in the education department in not a particularly senior post - retired about 25 years ago and died about 15 years ago. It would be fair to say they lived frugally and, of course, had no kids.

Perhaps they could blow it all on a year's tuition fees?

;D or  >:( since it's too near the truth.

Son was planning to do an MA next year anyway. So it'll help. I suppose daughter might think about it now.

I had a Buescher New Aristocrat Alto (1934), it played like a dream, got it from Roger at Allegro (aka Saxophone Heaven) brilliant place

I have "found" my Howies Barrier fleece.  When I say found, I mean Mrs T's friend, to whom she had lent it, and forgotten about said lending, returned it yesterday.

I iz nice and snuggly now :)

T3's a rocket that goes to T5, and T4 is a submarine.
