Lost my old bike cover (a French fishermens cape) on way to work but got a cycle cape which is lighter from Argos which (with a couple of clothes pegs) does the job as well if not better.

I'm nearly on holiday in Wales!   (am in a pub in Bath - close enough.)

And the weather forecast really isnt too bad for next week!

And I've got my tent and everything!

Bloody marvellous.  As is this pint.

A cheery Brummie has just fixed our snap-crackle-pop-to-the-point-of-inaudibility land line. Corrosion of contacts in the box on the wall outside, & the cable leading into the house. & when he switched the line to an alternative circuit in the junction box for the house to avoid having to replace the corroded connectors, he uncovered a fault in the bigger box out in the street.

He got less & less cheery until he put it all back together & it worked. Then the grin returned. First call of the afternoon & he's well behind schedule, but he might make it up on the others.

The phone line is now clear as a bell. It was driving Naomi mad over the weekend, when she was talking to her family.

I have been invited to a (slightly late) international womens day celebration on Friday evening, where there will be nice food and drink and good company and a bit of light fundraising, which goes some way to making up for the fairly unpleasant day I've had.  Of course, I finish work quite late on a Friday.  So I'll have to ride straight there from work - about 10 miles if I go the short-ish way.  And then 20-ish miles home again.  Shame....

Blimey, that's an awful lot of junkwaves  :o  :o  :o

Good luck with teh Assos   8)

Look forward to lots of emails and letters in the next year, we canceled for a year and they tempted us back with what we had before (Sky plus all 4 Sky Sports channels) for just £19 a month. This special deal runs out soon at which point we'll ask them to continue it or we'll end the contract again.

Hoorah! They have resurfaced the two worst bits of Rawcliffe Lane - properly and completely, not just filling in the holes.  This makes my commute better one day a week!

I have a new boss.

He's a cyclist

And keeps his bike in the office, as in leant against his desk in the office

Spoke too soon, he's been 'retired' :(

That's a relief - first time through I thought you'd written "re-shot", which seemed a bit hard!
