It's a 2010.  Distinctive, but not overly foreign.  As my drinking companion has stated only a few minutes ago, "This wine needs time to breath, but it definitely grows on you - I'll certainly buy more."  FTR, her taste buds are definitely European, as opposed to my Colonial ones.

numbing my mind with a day of staring at numbers, that get multiplied by other numbers and then put through a convoluted EU derived process to allocate another number which then has to be compared to yet another number on an annual basis, this difference between the last two determining how much of the allocated number needs to be bought or sold as a commodity.

This is the wonder of an EU cap and trade scheme in CO2, which is supposed to drive down our overall emissions, but seems to simply keep people like me employed counting beans.

At least having finished the bean counting today, I can use all of tomorrow to try and understand my conclusions.

I thought beans were linked to methane emissions rather than CO2?

Creeping back into the Internet programming world - PHP, MySQL and all that yatz - with a view to rebuilding my routing site, which died the death when Cloudmade changed the marketing model for their routing library, as in they wanted money for it. Shame, it was better than Google's equiv, which I'm going to have to fall back on, squelch. It's going to be a bit gnarly since Google's API is very different from Cloudmade's. But fun.

I'm hoping living 100m up the North facing side of the North York moors will mitigate most of that. Maybe
