I understand the tickets - especially the John Otway* one

And the spirit level is something every person should have.

But I have no idea what that is in the middle.

Nice

I was always a fan of the 'Stoke up for the hills' stamp that used to be popular on El Supremo rides  :D

If you provide the cycling theme, these guys supply the stamp :)

A set of WOLs each for the Cubs arrived while they were away - they opened the parcel in the brief interlude between getting back from their dad's and going away on holiday with me but I didn't get around to pics and all that until today.  A _completely_ lovely present :D

I'm glad Grannie Annie likes it and I'm really chuffed that it arrived in time, I missed the official last posting day.

We got the latest bullying from management at  national level: sign your remaining TUPE (etc) rights away or kiss goodbye to your huge 'up to one percent' pay rise. They also addressed it to a person who does not exist. I simply replied "Thank you. My name is not...."

Earlier this week, a t(not-shaped)towel, from Ruthie and Mcshroom's Irish adventures.  It was to say thank you for lending them my behemoth tent, which is frankly ridiculous 'cos Ruthie gave it to me in the first place... But it is a lovely t-towel :D

(note - Ruthie and I have exchanged a number of jolly fine t-towels over the years, not infrequently acquired from merch desks at gigs, so there's a bit of a tradition going!)

Then yesterday a pair of rather smart arm warmers appeared with a lovely note to say thank you for the ones that I gave Adrian prior to the york-hull FNRttC when it was looking like the weather was going to be chillier that expected.  Again, an unnecessary gesture 'cos I was given them for free, but nonetheless appreciated!

Very random serendipitous coming together of random events -

Seeing John Otway mentioned - I was today standing on a junction in Nottinghamshire, marshalling a race. On a post was a poster for a musical event next week - Wild Willy Barrett!!! ( now playing rather different stuff Research indicated)
