I love the fact that those two circles of friends, each of which contains 1xRuthie, have overlapped in such a brilliantly YACF-ish way.

It doesn't always work so well Crinkles.  As you know, I've been nicely marginalised from some circles by doing the same thing in the past.  I need to get better at compartmentalising my life.

However, this time it's been a lovely thing - although thinking about it, the two circles of friends have been out together on a bike ride while I'm at home on the sofa!

There's definitely a pattern here  ;D

Thanks again to all who have supported this ride with advice and turning up in person.  It's a good place, this.

Just a quick update. After a late start, a puncture and a thunderstorm we made it to Gisors at 8pm this evening. One more day to Paris :D

I need the photos to be uploaded by the others first. I was a bit busy so didn't take many myself. For the moment though, here's us outside Notre Dame :)

I keep hearing about those two lovely blokes from London that did the first bit of the ride.  Andrij and Tim Hall have made quite an impression.

Jamie, my friend who had blood cancer and inspired this ride, got married yesterday.  They had a collection for Bloodwise at the wedding.  He's still fit and well, and living a full active life, and was as happy as could be last night.

Brilliant. I spy Northern Lasses not wearing lycra this time. Or at least one.

Here's a Northern lass who might be more familiar to you Tim (and Andrij) - the mother of the Groom.  She scrubs up all right, I reckon  :)

Blimey Ruthie. I didn't realise the reasons for the ride were so close to home.

A bit weepy now.

This wedding should've happened two years ago.  Blood cancer got in the way of that - but only temporarily.

It was a great wedding.

This ride was inspired by my friend Jane's son. Jane is one of the canny Northern lasses on the ride. Here's Jamie before his first post-cancer fight today
